VIDAR – Jumper

Designed by ARNE & CARLOS, this eye-catching jumper features a simple but effective colourwork pattern. It is knitted in Rowan’s Felted Tweed, a blend of 50% wool, 25% alpaca and 25% viscose, as well as four shades of Rowan’s Kidsilk Haze, a blend of 70% mohair and 30% silk. This is a new technique for us, which we are calling “Layered Colourwork” and consists of knitting intarsia, but constantly using the Felted Tweed and only adding the Kidsilk Haze on top of the Felted Tweed when necessary. This is so much easier than both regular intarsia and stranded colourwork!
