MOON NIGHT- Year of the Horse

Our horse is knitted in the round and is almost seamless. Knit the legs first, then attach them together to make the body and continue with neck and head. Finish it off by attaching the ears, mane and tail. You can knit this pattern in different yarn weights but always using the same needle size to get different sizes. In the last photo, you can see two different sized horses; the brown one is knitted in DK yarn and the patterned one is knitted in our ARNE & CARLOS Sock & More 4-ply yarns (fingering weight) that we have designed. The Second Easiest Sock Heel in the World – Short Row Heel

Suggested Yarn: Regia Design Line or Regia Pairfect by ARNE & CARLOS 4-ply (fingering weight). 75% Virgin Wool and 25% Polyamide.

Gauge: 30 stitches and 42 rows per 10 cm

Needle Size: 1 set of dpns: 2.5 mm / U.S. 1.5

Sizes Available: The pattern is written for 64 stitches but this is a basic pattern that can be knitted using any number of stitches. Tailor sock to your own foot – or use a sock ruler to determine any other size.

GAUTE – Spiral Sock with No Heel

Suggested Yarn: Regia Design Line by ARNE & CARLOS 4-ply (fingering weight). 75% Virgin Wool and 25% Polyamide. We used the latest yarns that we designed for Regia to knit our heel-less socks, which is the series that we call “Mountains and Fjords”. Colour 07028 Stortjuvtinden.

For the ankle socks, we used Regia Pairfect Kids Colours by ARNE & CARLOS, also 4-ply. 75% Virgin Woll and 25% Polyamide. Colour 02985 Kine.

Gauge: 30 stitches and 42 rows per 10 cm

Needle Size: 1 set of dpns: 2.5 mm / U.S. 1.5

Sizes Available: Since this is a heel-less sock, there is no size for the foot. Just knit as long as you want and try the sock on while you go. Once you are happy with the length, finish the sock by knitting the rib.

SÅVE – Version 2.0 – Knitted Teddy Bear

This is one of our most popular designs. Originally, we made the bear Såve for our book "Norwegian Knits with a Twist". The idea was to use Setesdal patterns in a new way, on items other than sweaters.

We’ve revised the pattern for the teddy bear, because the old bear was knitted with one strand and omitted some stitches needed to balance the motifs. You can say that this is an updated version of our teddy bear—Såve, version 2.0. We like how the colorways now match on both legs, arms, and ears. To achieve this effect, it’s important to follow the row sequence in the instructions when knitting the parts of the body.

ANJA – Crochet Scarf

These are so much fun to crochet as each square will be completely different from the next. This pattern is enhanced with clear, easy-to-use and detailed charts of every round, so you get both the written pattern as well as the charts when you purchase this pattern. We have also included instructions for 2 different ways to join join the squares to create the scarf.
